How Do You Put A Translate Button On Website?

Spread the love

Question:

I have visitors from other countries to my website, but they leave right away because their language isn’t represented on my website. Any ideas? Plugins?

Yes, there are 3 plugins that we have come across.

GTranslate: Our recommendation is GTranslate. It was quick and easy to use and setup. We are currently using it on our website so you can check it out in the menu bar at the top. You can install it and set as many languages you want. We have been told that it could cause minify issues but we have not had this problem.

Polylang: We found Polylang confusing, however, it is recommended by many bloggers.

WPML (WordPress Multilingual Plugin): Found mostly bad reviews on this plugin so we stayed away.

And we researched the net to find out if there were more and low and behold the following list.

  • Weglot
  • Translate Press
  • Multilingual Press
  • Google Language Translator
  • Loco Translate
  • Goo Translate Widget
  • Google Website Translator
  • Lingotek

Please Note: We don’t have any experience with most of these plugins so this is just a basic list.

What GTranslate looks like in the back office.

Do you have any experience with plugins above? We would love to hear your thoughts?
