How Do I Use Speech-To-Text On Windows 10?

This will be a short post but we wanted to let you know about a free feature in Windows 10 that allows you to record your speech in to text on Windows 10.

How To Turn On Speech Recognition And Dictation In Windows 10

First you will need to pull up whatever text software that you will be using to write. For example, Word, Note, google docs, etc.

Then press the Windows Home Button and the letter h.

That shortcut again is Windows Home Button + h.

We will be using Microsoft Word for the picture example.

Once it initializes it will say it is “Listening”. At this point it is ready to use.

Just start talking and it will record your speech to text.
